This can be difficult.
You have a great idea, or in fact you are already up and running. You know you need to create your own identity so your customers become loyal and in fact start referring you more business.
Having a professional brand that actually resonates with your customers can help step you up from small business to a professional higher profile business in no time. It doesn’t have to be difficult, if you have already got your business up and running or close to, it is likely that it is more about simplifying your business strategy into easy to understand messages.
How much thought have you given to why you are different than your competitors? Do you have something that others don’t? Are you faster and delivery? Do you have skills that others don’t? If your service better? Do you have more experience than others?
All of the answers to these questions can lead to what you brand needs to stand for. Think about some other brands like supermarkets for example. New World, without saying any more you know that they are likely to be more expensive than others, but you expect better variety and they will pack your groceries for you. Once you know you position it can be easier to then start building our that brand so customers just be seeing you brand know what to expect. From our experience a lot of businesses don’t spend enough time on building this out! If I asked you what you stood for and why I should do business with your company – without any warning what would you say?
We often find that business owners actually don’t know what to say and end throwing out, service, product features, how many customers they have, how long they have been around. But often they fail to clearly articulate what it is in practical customer language kinda way.
Maybe now is the time to give it a go?
